Our Story

Our Story

We’re a family-owned and woman-owned business, proudly rooted in our passion since 2003. It all started with 1,000 lavender plants on a half-acre and a love for gardening and farming. Our first product was fresh-cut lavender, dried and crafted into sachets.

Over the years, we’ve expanded into a variety of handmade products, including lavender linen sprays, goat’s milk soaps, body butter, lotions, culinary goods and more—all made on our property, where we also distill our own lavender essential oil.

This has always been a family effort, with everyone pitching in—planting, harvesting, creating, and packaging. We’re proud to share what we’ve built together and hope our products bring a little bit of our farm into your home.

MEET THE FARMER'S WIFE

MEET THE FARMER'S WIFE

Hi there, I’m Tina, the “farmer’s wife” behind this little lavender-filled dream. When I first started, it was just me, my husband, our five kids, and a half-acre of land with a backyard pump house where I spent countless hours creating lavender products. What began as a passion project for family and friends has grown into something I could have only imagined—our products are now on the shelves of over 100 retailers across the West Coast.

This journey has been one of hard work, late nights, and so much love. I’ve poured my heart into everything we make, using lavender grown and distilled right here on our family farm in Yuba City, CA. For me, it’s about more than just the products—it’s about creating something that feels special, whether it’s a thoughtful gift or a little indulgence for yourself.

Every jar of jelly, bar of soap, and bottle of lotion carries the same care and attention as when I first started. I hope that when you bring one of our items into your home, you feel the warmth, charm, and love that go into everything we do here at The Farmer’s Wife.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me—it means the world.

Warmly,
Tina
